Bring Grounding & a Sense of Peace Into Your Home
The Darkness Beneath and Power of Peace are no longer available at Crate & Barrel. The only place to buy them now is straight from the artist.
You missed them at Crate & Barrel.
Come straight to the artist.
Addison Jones created an exclusive collection for Crate & Barrel, and it sold out. The Darkness Beneath and Power of Peace were part of that run. Crate & Barrel no longer sells them, and people kept looking. Now the only way to buy them is straight from the studio in Golden, Colorado. They are open editions, in stock, and made in the same 40 × 60 white frame and white mat, with no retailer in between.
Calm on the Surface.Depth Underneath.
Water is never just one thing. From above it looks still, a soft rippled field of blue catching the last pink of the sky. Every ripple, though, is moved by something underneath.
Deep water for grounding.
The shoreline for peace.
One quiet view for the whole room.
Addison photographs that tension in close, patient studies of the surface, printed large enough that your eye can rest there. On a wall, they slow a room down. That is what these two pieces bring into the home: grounding, and a sense of peace.
The Crate & Barrel Collection
The Depths & The Shore
Two framed ocean photographs you can no longer buy at Crate & Barrel. They are sold only here, straight from the artist. Each one works on its own. Hung together, they read as one continuous view.
What Collectors Are Saying
“My husband and I absolutely love these prints! We first discovered them at Crate & Barrel, but we loved having the opportunity to purchase directly from the artist. They bring such a beautiful sense of peace into our home. We couldn’t be happier with them!”

How to Hang the Pair
The two verticals are made to read as one continuous view: the depths of The Darkness Beneath on the left, flowing into the shore of Power of Peace on the right.
- Put The Darkness Beneath on the left and Power of Peace on the right, so the water moves from deep to shore.
- Line up the tops so both frames share one straight top line.
- Keep an even, modest gap between the frames so they read as a single piece.
- Each frame hangs from D-ring hangers on the back. Mark both hanger points for each frame at the same height so the pair stays level.
- Center the pair over your sofa, bed, or console, and check both with a level.
- At 40 × 60 each, two people make hanging much easier and safer.
A Different Way of Living With Art
A lot of wall art is chosen to fill space. These two pieces are meant to change how a room feels.
Deep water gives a room weight and a steady center. The shoreline gives it release, the calm you feel when water finally reaches land.
Hang them above a sideboard, at the end of a hall, or across from where you sit at the end of the day. They bring grounding and a sense of peace into the home without asking for attention.
